We live it every day.Job SummaryThe Marketing Manager is accountable for providing proposal support and business development efforts for the area office and the marketing team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead the proposal development process from start to finish, including evaluating solicitations, planning work, writing content, reviewing and editing material, and finalizing proposals.Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Business Development subject matter experts to develop winning proposals.Produce high-quality, compliant, persuasive, and responsive proposals under tight deadlines. Excellent writing, editing skills and detail oriented.Independently manages the completion of pursuits including prequalification questionnaires, proposals and client presentations.Develops strategy and messaging for pursuits and marketing materials.Independently performs focused industry research.Manages development of press releases and creation of advertising concepts, supervising approval and distribution.Maintains historical project data in Client Relationship Management (CRM) database.Gathers, organizes and compiles project experience for use in project profiles for proposals, CRM and the website.Assists in maintenance of employee resume files.Assists in training of new members of the marketing department.Management ResponsibilitiesIf required, will be assigned by the Director of Marketing or Area Manager.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitySupports and adheres to the matrix organization format. Ensures client satisfaction, both internally and externally, through positive, pleasant, professional and efficient handling of issues. Exercises good interpersonal skills by gladly assisting others to accomplish work of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties. Models and reinforces safety as a top priority of the organization. Always wears a hard hat and other appropriate personal protective equipment in the field. Practices the values outlined in the Flintco Ethos. Meets schedules and deadlines, adheres to policies and procedures and maintains a good attendance/tardiness record. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software applications. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Must possess above average communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality service.EducationBachelor's degree in business, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCertified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) from SMPS (or equivalent) is preferred.Physical RequirementsPhysical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
