Gannett’s DMS Marketing team is looking for a creative and eager digital designer to join our team and take on a pivotal role in maintaining our visual identity. Reporting into the Art Director, you’ll conceptualize and deliver compelling designs based on the needs of the marketing team. This role is responsible for creative development and production using design best practices to carry out our visual brand across marketing assets including sales collateral, presentations, ad units, infographics, video, and UX consistency across all marketing channels and websites. The right person for the role is a creative thinker with a passion for clean design, is resilient and adaptable, brings a positive attitude to the team, and is capable of navigating the fast-paced landscape of brand marketing.

What we're looking for...

Bachelors degree in graphic design and 2+ years of design experience in a fast-paced environmentPassion for design and communication with an understanding of layout, color theory and typography for both digital and printAbility to uphold brand and style guidelines while creating new graphic content within those guidelinesDemonstrated knowledge of presentation and information designDesire to solve problems in an innovative manner, and eagerness to continually learn/growWork closely across marketing functions, sales, and public relations, to ensure a consistent and compelling brand narrative across all touchpoints.Communicate and present a clear vision of concepts to marketing teamParticipate in brainstorming sessions with team members to define visual design directionDesire and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage time effectively, and quickly incorporate feedbackExtremely well-organized, detail-oriented, eager to apply new tactics and have a “can-do” approach.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, enthusiastic, resourceful, and efficient.Expert knowledge and accuracy in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Word; Motion graphics and animation skills a plus.
