Targeting existing and potential business owners, Entrepreneur Media publishes Entrepreneur magazine, a monthly publication in print and digital formats, with a paid circulation of more than 600,000. The Company also operates a corresponding website, Entrepreneur.com, and a number of social media channels, through which it provides business-related advice and other information in a variety of different media, including articles, podcasts, and videos such as its popular video series, Entrepreneur Elevator Pitch. In addition, Entrepreneur Media publishes books (over 120 titles), which are distributed in print, ebook, and audiobook formats under its Entrepreneur Press brand, as well as in language translations worldwide.
Position Overview:
Working closely with, and reporting directly to, the General Counsel, the successful candidate will perform a wide variety of duties, including structuring, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a high volume of company agreements, working with outside counsel in registering and protecting the Company’s intellectual properties, and ensuring the Company’s compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The successful candidate must be a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills, who is capable of working collaboratively with fellow employees, and who can easily adapt to a variety of different facets of the Company’s business and to multiple and changing priorities as well as a high volume of work, often under quick deadlines.
Experience:
Superior academic credentials at a top tier law school, and 2+ years of legal experience related to transactional, technology, and IP matters.
Location/Relocation:
Local candidates strongly preferred.
Compensation:
$165 - $185k
