TikTok TV team leads product and growth initiatives for TikTok TV app on all TV platforms with a data-driven and results-focused engineering and product mindset. We are seeking talented individuals who enjoy the intersection of product, data, design, and engineering to help us reach the next milestone of billions of users.
In the PGC, TikTok TV team, you'll have the opportunity to build TikTok TV app on all TV platforms to bring joy to our users in all scenes. You'll define A/B testing frameworks to measure and improve user retention and engagement. We encounter a diversity of technical challenges, allowing you to get a firsthand look at what technologies the most innovative organizations are using and build a bottom-up growth strategy from scratch. You'll be joining a full-stack team that can leverage all of TikTok's existing frameworks and be a part of designing and implementing new techniques and foundation work that can further improve user experience and showcase TikTok's value proposition.
As an Android Engineer, you will:Leverage data to understand our users and our product in-depth, identify areas of opportunity and execute projects to drive user growth, retention, and/or engagement.Design and implement the new-user features of our mobile application.Collaborate with the design and product teams to create a world-class mobile experience.Optimize mobile applications on the Android TV platforms.Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high-quality work on a tight schedule.
QualificationsBS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors with 3+ years of experience in native Android development.Strong understanding of software development principles, capabilities and limitations of mobile platforms and Google clean Architecture is a plus.Proficiency in at least one of these programming languages: Java, Kotlin.Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases.Good team communication and collaboration skills.Passion and experience building consumer-facing products is a huge plus; we would love to hear about apps you've developed.Experience in mobile infra or full stack is preferred.Experience in cross-platform solutions (e.g. React Native) is a plus.Experience in performance optimization is a plus.
Job Information:Compensation Description (annually)The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $250000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
