The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and posting on our social media platforms, managing and crafting communications, and handling graphic design needs. They will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand's visibility and engagement; utilizing an innovative and resourceful nature, combined with strategic thinking capabilities, they will connect daily tasks to the overall vision and purpose of the brand.Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

Oversee and manage the association’s social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram).Develop and schedule engaging content that promotes the association’s activities, values, and mission.Monitor social media channels for trends, interactions, and feedback, and respond appropriately.

Communications Management:

Craft and distribute clear, compelling communications to members and external audiences.Ensure all communications are consistent with the association’s voice and brand guidelines.Collaborate with other departments to gather information and create content for newsletters, emails, and other communications.

Graphic Design Management:

Oversee graphic design projects from conception to completion.Create/source visually appealing graphics for use in digital and print materials.Ensure all graphic design work aligns with the association’s brand and marketing strategies.

Paid Advertising Management:

Develop and execute paid advertising campaigns on various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads).Monitor and analyze the performance of advertising campaigns, making adjustments as needed to maximize ROI.Research new advertising options to create greater reach and awareness for the organization and brand.

Strategic Thinking and Innovation:

Maintain high awareness of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.Innovate and propose new marketing strategies and tactics to enhance the association’s reach and engagement.Connect day-to-day marketing activities to the association’s overall strategic goals and brand vision.

Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma.Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or similar field preferred, or a combination of the equivalent in specific work-related experience and commensurate work history.Three to five years of experience in social media management, communications, branding required.Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.Requires advanced knowledge of all social media platforms and their trends, uses, target audiences, and advertising capabilities.Required intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM platforms with willingness and ability to learn new systems.Ability for up to 5% domestic travel.Competencies:
