The position will support fundraising communications and serve in a project management role in the Development Office of Brigham and Women's Hospital. The Officer will work as part of a team supporting the creation of high-quality and inspirational fundraising communications materials across all media.BWH Development Office offers

We recognize the need for ongoing learning in this domain and are committed to continuing this work, embracing the full spectrum of human diversity: race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, and national origin.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads the planning and coordination of fundraising communication materials through multi-channels.Support the communication needs of assigned major gift officers and their constituents.Integrate daily communications materials with the Brigham’s comprehensive fundraising goals and priorities.Raise the hospital's visibility and increase donor and prospect engagement.Collaborates with editors, writers, designers, digital engagement staff, and outside vendors to facilitate the development and delivery of integrated fundraising communication materials.Develops a keen understanding of assigned fundraising unit portfolios and deep knowledge of their medical specialty areas.Guides the development of appropriate strategies and tactics that are measured to yield learning for future projects.Develops, implements, and manages project schedules using Workfront platform.Monitors and regularly reports on project status to Development Office fundraising units and leadership.Secures necessary approvals, incorporates feedback, and negotiates completion dates as needed.Actively supports building the Development Office's project management expertise.Coordinates activities closely with the entire Brigham Development Office.Works with the Associate Director of Communications to gather and create calendar of all program requests.Thrives in a highly entrepreneurial, results-oriented environment.Maintains collaborative spirit with fundraising and service unit colleagues.Prepares for and organizes meetings, sets agendas, writes meeting summaries, and monitors next steps.Other initiatives as assigned by the Director or Associate Director of Development Communications.QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS Degree required.3-5 years of communications project management experience, preferably in fundraising.Experience with fundraising in a hospital, academic medical center, or higher education institution preferred.Professional knowledge and experience with development, marketing, and communications strategies preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, as well as CRM preferred. Experience using Workfront is a plus.SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Demonstrates professional maturity, initiative, creativity, flexibility, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.Experience translating medical and/or scientific information into clear jargon-free language a plus.Knowledge of the history, purpose, and mission of the hospital.Willingness to create strong collaborative relationships across a complex organization.Demonstrated enthusiasm, curiosity, initiative, and resilience.Ability to research audience needs and lead the development of products and services.Experience integrating multi-channel media, such as print, email, web, video, or mobile.Ability to work independently or as a team member.Excellent written and oral communication skills.EEO Statement:
