YesJob Summary:Provides strategic leadership for developing and executing integrated communications and marketing plans for CAPPA. Responsible for developing and managing the media strategy for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with the Dean and Department Directors on college and program initiatives and special events. Promotes the college brand, programs, faculty, and student achievements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Leads the development, creation, and implementation of CAPPA’s marketing and communications strategy.Works closely with the Dean to ensure that communications initiatives and innovations are represented through various internal and external communication channels.Develops and implements communications strategies to showcase and promote CAPPA’s accomplishments.Serves as the media contact for CAPPA for both internal and external stakeholders.Creates and implements a college alumni relations initiative.Creates and executes social media strategy and manages the program’s online presence.Creates and manages multiple college websites.Creates content for social media, website, events, and recruitment materials.Performs graphic design, photography, videography, editing, and writing.Manages promotional event materials and event planning.Coordinates and maintains University communication initiatives.Works with CAPPA Coordinator on logistics for college events.Coordinates publicity for special college events as needed.Provides management, supervises, and assigns tasks for student assistants.Manages production workflow to ensure adherence to UTA communication standards.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, multimedia production, public relations, marketing, or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years communications experience, or six (6) to eight (8) years of relevant work experience may be considered equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree with two (2) years of experience or more in communications, graphic design, or related field.Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in written products.Solid written and verbal communication skills; highly organized.Experience effectively working with individuals of varying levels of responsibility.Ability to take initiative and make decisions in a changing environment.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and website management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Project and event management skills.Photography, videography, and social media skills.Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines.Other Requirements:Occasional evening and weekend work required.Attend applicable training sessions.Other duties as assigned.Working Conditions:Use of standard office equipment, personal laptop computer, and Microsoft 365.
