OverviewThe Marketing Specialist, Consumer Promotions & Insights, strategically develops and implements promotional strategies to maximize customer growth and optimize spend across both wireless and home fiber products. They also research and analyze market and consumer data to provide actionable insights that drive sales acquisition and customer retention. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for driving results. The successful candidate will manage promotional budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness, work collaboratively with other departments, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and be proficient in using sales tools and consumer data reporting systems. Attention to detail and ability to manage tight timelines is crucial in the role. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy.

ResponsibilitiesPromotional Strategy and Execution:

Own and execute all aspects of wireless and home fiber promotional strategies.

Develop and implement promotional plans based on data analysis and competitor insights, focusing on sales and customer retention.

Closely manage the cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory, and promotional budgets in collaboration with sales, purchasing, product, and LOB leadership to maximize the return and cost-effectiveness of promotions.

Continually review and analyze promotional expenses, negotiating co-funding arrangements with vendors for key promotions.

Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting on promotional spend and performance for review by key stakeholders.

Manage wireless and home fiber promo tool to build and execute promotions, in addition to collaborating with IT on promo tool optimization and roadmap management.

Consumer Data and Reporting:

Develop, maintain, and analyze customer data reports in SAP related to consumer product lines and audience segments that visually convey actionable insights from sales, promo, and communications performance to inform marketing plans across audience segments and product lines.

Manage audience lists for fiberhood lifecycles by extracting data from Crowd Fiber, collaborating with vendors to clean data, and providing lists to internal and external teams that support direct marketing deployments.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business or related field or the equivalent years of related work experience.

Proven experience in promotional strategy development and execution, and financial management skills, preferably in the telecommunications industry.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable, easily understood insights.

Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Must be a self-starter and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Additional skills including strong written, verbal and organization skills; excellent planning and execution, with attention to detail; strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED

Minimum 1 year of marketing experience preferred.

Knowledge of SQL and other data science programming languages a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen.
