The VP, Marketing Channel Engagement is responsible for leading the development of integrated paid and earned media strategies which are grounded in key business initiatives, accelerate C Spire’s brand awareness and reputation, and deliver transformative growth across C Spire’s lines of business.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of multi-touch marketing plans – utilizing media attribution data, media mix modeling, and predictive analytics – to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition and retention

Analyze paid and earned media results, along with business performance, from both in-flight and completed campaigns and proactively share actionable insights

Oversee both proactive and reactive media initiatives that deliver regional and national coverage for each C Spire’s lines of business, including effectively pitching stories to media targets (trade, local, national, TV, radio, online, etc.) and writing/editing pitch materials

Lead the mapping of paid and earned marketing to customer journeys, helping ensure we’re reaching the right audiences in the right marketing channels at the right time

Support the development of paid and earned marketing channel budgets

Implement new techniques and technologies that are relevant to C Spire’s paid and earned media strategies, including driving a culture of consistent experimentation across our marketing teams through consistent A/B and multivariate testing across marketing channels

Support the development of our paid and earned marketing platform roadmap, ensuring we’re fully maximizing capabilities of our martech stack with an emphasis on AI and ML

Maintain current knowledge of paid and earned media best practices

Oversee staff development through mentoring, coaching, and consistently providing feedback

Qualifications

REQUIRED

Four-year degree in marketing, advertising, business or other major in related discipline or equivalent years of relevant experience required.

Experience working directly with consumer, business, and technology media, from top-tier outlets to smaller niche targets required.

Strong networking and public speaking skills required.

Excellent writing skills and the ability to compelling storylines required.

Experience utilizing data – including media mix models, web/mobile analytics, business data -- to craft media strategies required.

Must be a self-starter with strong critical thinking skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Strong communication and organization skills; excellent planning and execution with attention to detail; strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at once.

PREFERRED

15+ years paid marketing management experience strongly preferred -- including developing paid and earned marketing strategies, building media plans, and analyzing results.

MBA preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS :

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen.
