Business Segment Overview

Corporate: Engage in a deep variety of business-critical activities that keep our company running efficiently. From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you’ll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose: Responsible for maintaining and developing financial information used for internal accounting, external regulatory reporting. Maintain effective internal controls and work closely with internal business counterparts to optimize efficiency of the corporate accounting process. The individual will report to and directly support the Accounting Manager within the Birmingham Alabama Accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for month-end close process including preparation of supporting documents and various analysis
• Preparation of monthly financial statements and ad-hoc financial reports for division heads
• Perform daily trade activity analysis utilizing internal accounting and trading systems
• Work with internal and external auditors to facilitate test-work.
• Work with division heads in annual budget and forecasting process
• Communicate daily with operations, middle office, and trading desk to support financial reporting needs
• Develop an understanding of Industry compliance and regulatory rules

Qualifications

Required:

• 3-6 years professional experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Solid problem identification and resolution skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Education and/or Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• MBS or MBS candidate in Finance preferred

Working Environment:

• Onsite full time
