The Hired Guns are seeking a creative and hyper-organized Social Media Manager to oversee the robust online social presence of a highly-regarded digital trendsetter in the hospital and healthcare space. The organization has been ahead of the curve when it comes to creating comprehensive, easy to use, cutting-edge tools and content for their patients, providers, researchers, students, and other audiences. Now, they’re seeking a skilled writer with a firm grasp of curating and creating content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) to amplify their brand voice, keep their followers informed, and raise their online profile.The work is remote for the immediate future, but when the pandemic is finally behind us, you will work on-site at least part of the time. Excellent performance in this role could lead to being hired onto their full-time staff.Why You?How you’ll know if you’re a fit…You have solid social media experience and possess a deep understanding of the various social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and their nuances. You’re hyper-organized and able to turn a high volume of sometimes complex content into succinct and compelling social media posts for a broad audience. (The learning curve here can be steep, but if you’re comfortable asking for help when needed, you will thrive.)Your background in community management means you’ve monitored daily social channel engagement and are adept at managing multiple primary and secondary accounts, sharing and engaging with followers, and managing issues when they arise. More than just a copy-and-paster, you have a nose for news, and you know how to pitch and execute packages based on your spider-sense of what’s relevant and engaging. A command of Meltwater (or comparable social tools) is key.
