Job Description

AECOM is looking for a

Corporate Communications Specialist

for its Global Communications team. This role will contribute to the development of strategic corporate communications, such as the company’s financial-related communications, executive communications and other key internal and external communications activities.

The candidate should bring an understanding of both internal and external stakeholder groups with demonstrated experience providing strategic communications counsel, translating business and technical concepts into understandable messaging, and contributing to effective communications campaigns.

The position requires an individual with strong critical thinking capabilities and the ability to closely collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engagement with communications, marketing, finance, legal, HR and other operational groups. In addition, the role should bring a passion for learning, a strategic point of view that aligns with the goals of the business, and the ability to earn the confidence of respective colleagues and leadership.

The successful candidate will be a reliable and enthusiastic team player who is excited about joining an organization responsible for delivering many of the most iconic and impactful infrastructure projects around the world.

This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work, to be based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the development of creative, strategic and profile-raising internal and external communications plans and initiatives, such as leader emails and business line town halls.

Developing communications materials, such as presentations, speeches, video scripts, quotes, social media content, organizational announcements and panel talking points.

Collaborating closely with the Public Relations team on media outreach strategies and plans to favorably position AECOM with business/industry outlets.

Staying up to date on relevant industry, economic, and governmental issues that should be reflected in or referenced in communications.

Ensuring communications align with AECOM’s strategic priorities and business performance.

Identifying adjacent communications opportunities to leverage existing materials and expertise by contributing to other, related communications campaigns or initiatives.

Measuring and analyzing the impact of campaign activities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field plus at least 2 years professional, corporate communications-related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Strong written and oral communications skills, including copyediting and familiarity with AP style.

Ability to synthesize complex materials and to craft creative, persuasive language and compelling messaging for a variety of global audiences.

Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.

Proven ability to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work products.

Self-starter capable of assuming responsibility for several tasks at once with little supervision.

Project management and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
