Transamerica’s dedicated professionals focus on helping people live their best lives through saving, investing, and protecting their loved ones.Job Description SummaryReporting to the Communications Business Partner primarily supporting Transamerica’s Protection Solutions and Savings & Investments businesses as well as the broader Transamerica organization, the Lead Communications Specialist will plan, develop, and execute internal communications to support business goals and enhance employee engagement.Key responsibilities include:Strategic Planning:

Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive internal communications strategies that support organizational goals and enhance employee engagement.Content Creation:

Write, edit, and produce a variety of communications materials, including newsletters, emails, intranet content, presentations, and speeches and video scripts. Partner with business SMEs and social media team to support the execution of engaging and strategic social media content for various stakeholder audiences. Consistently adhere to brand voice and style standards and serve as a brand champion.Campaign & Platform Management:

Plan and manage internal communication campaigns and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Manage Office 365 communications platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Viva Engage, Forms, Town Halls, etc.).Leadership Communications:

Provide strategic communications guidance to senior leaders and support the development and delivery of high quality, effective leadership communications (e.g., leader messages, talking points, presentations).Employee Engagement:

Foster a culture of transparency and engagement by developing creative and data-informed programs and initiatives that connect employees with the company’s strategic direction.Measurement and Feedback:

Track and measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.Collaboration:

Work closely with Transamerica business segment leaders and employees, transformation leaders, HR, Marketing, IT, and other departments to ensure consistency and alignment in messaging across the organization. Support complex, cross-functional projects as needed.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications or related area of study, or equivalent education/experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications or related experience.Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
