POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Marketing Coordinator is primarily responsible for implementing Phoenix House Texas's marketing and communication strategies and assisting with the implementation of the development strategy. The Marketing Coordinator executes the daily operation of all activities related to marketing and communications. These responsibilities include updating internal and external communications, production of marketing materials, website, social media, graphic design, and donor communication. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator may assist other internal teams on various marketing and communication projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Designs and executes annual marketing/communications strategy outlined by the Director of Development to communicate the vision of the organization to PHT's donor constituency.Plans and manages events by identifying, coordinating, and assembling requirements, developing assignments and schedules, coordinating mailing lists and establishing contacts.Creates and maintains the annual calendar for organizational communication pieces.Creates and manages speaking engagement and industry event calendarsDesigns, purchases, and manages inventory of promotional materials for company and industry eventsGenerates and manages reports for mailings, invitation listsManages and coordinates with internal teams for overall social media messaging and guidelines.Works with various internal teams to acquire stories for organization communication for website, annual report, newsletter, and other communication channels.Reviews work completed by staff writers and edits all communications materials prior to distribution.Updates and maintains website.Maintains and orders print materials related to programs and office needs such as letterhead, envelopes, and business cards.Manages marketing analytics pertaining to website performance, email open rates, click-throughs, etc.Manages external vendors such as printers and freelance editors.Attends and participates in program and all staff meetings; attends all required staff training sessions in accordance with Phoenix House Texas and state licensing requirements, completes all training on time.Adheres to and promotes the Phoenix House Texas Mission, Vision, and Values while acting as a role model for others.Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or equivalent.2-3 years of experience working in the marketing and communication sector preferred.Must maintain a valid Drivers' License, have proof of automobile insurance, and maintain a safe driving record based on Phoenix House Texas policy

Possesses excellent interpersonal skills for representing PHT with donors, staff, volunteers and publicEstablishes and maintains effective working relationships with others.Models positive behavior and demeanor.Possesses project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously.Is flexible; problem solver, self-directed; customer service-oriented, and collaborative.Possesses knowledge of effective marketing strategies.Exhibits knowledge of organizational identity, mission, and goals.Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate clearly with various internal departments, volunteers and outside vendors and contractors.Is detail-oriented, as they need to manage campaign calendars and marketing event details.Strong computer skills for generating reports, viewing marketing metrics, extracting data and sharing this information with other team members in project updates. Working knowledge of basic computer applications, programs and features is a must with experience in web page development or graphic design being very helpful.Is familiar with publishing programs like Adobe, Canva or InDesign.Exhibits proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.Demonstrates strong leadership skills.Is capable of thinking creatively and analytically.Is proactive and productive.
