An Off-Campus Work-Study Position - MUST HAVE A WORK-STUDY AWARDFUSION is hiring for a Marketing Assistant to report to the Communications Director to help execute marketing and communications for this vibrant center of arts and culture.

FUSION, home to the FUSION Theatre Company, is a center for arts and culture in Downtown Albuquerque. Our multi-venue, 35,000 square foot campus hosts live music, dance, comedy, theater, and myriad special events. With three stages and both indoor and outdoor event spaces, FUSION is New Mexico’s home for creative and cultural exploration. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with FUSION’s Communications Director to help extend the reach of our story. With over twenty years as New Mexico’s professional theatre company, and a bustling campus with events across a wide range of disciplines, there are a lot of stories to tell!

The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, self-motivated, and skilled at working in a dynamic environment. Candidate needs to be well versed in social media and website update processes. Must be a talented self-starter. A strong eye for design and the ability to create both written and visual marketing materials in collaboration with the Communications Director is appreciated. This position helps execute social media campaigns and website development working closely with the Communications Director and may include other tasks required by the Communications Director. Regular Zoom meetings will be required.Main Tasks:- Assist Communications Director with marketing and event promotion for visiting artists and event organizers across social media platforms- Collaborate with Communications Director to create and enhance event descriptions- Make requested updates to website (Squarespace)

May Sometimes Assist With:- Creating graphics and event marketing materials as needed (Canva)- Uploading events to community calendars- Creating slideshows and/or other multimedia of current and upcoming events (Canva)- Collaborating on the design of programs & event-related materialsThis is a work study eligible position only, and potential candidates must apply through UNM Jobs.Minimum Qualifications:- Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM- Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count)- If Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.Preferred Qualifications:Required Skills and Experience:- Excellent written communication skills- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills- Skilled at social media across platforms- Knowledge of best social media practices- Proficient with Canva, Squarespace, major social media platforms, and Microsoft Office (Word)Application Instructions:Only applications submitted through the official UNM Jobs site will be accepted.
