Position Overview:

The Manager of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share. This role requires someone with a proven track record in wine sales, a good understanding of the industry, and the ability to execute operational plans.Key Responsibilities:Sales Strategy Development:• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and profit targets.• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.• Work with the management team to build and implement operational plans, budgets, and timelines for execution toward key sales goals.• Work with distributors to maintain relationships with current accounts and identify new ones, improving revenue and optimizing margins.Customer Relationship Management:• Build a deep understanding of the Wine Club membership and tasting room clientele.• Develop tools and resources to improve customer acquisition and retention.• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with direct and indirect distribution key accounts, distributors, and retail partners.• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all sales channels.• Implement effective customer retention strategies.• Strong skillset providing hospitality and connecting with customers whether they be consumers or trade.Budget and Forecasting:• Implement Sales Force software and integrate with DTC channels and distribution.• Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring financial targets are met.• Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to inform production and inventory planning.Market Expansion:• Identify and pursue new business opportunities that can expand the company’s DTC sales and improve margins.• Explore and establish partnerships that can expand the company’s opportunities in DTC as well as outside sales.Qualifications:Proven track record of success in sales management roles within the wine industry.Strong understanding of the wine market, industry trends, and consumer preferences.Excellent team skills.Experience in building wine club programs and executing the sales and marketing plans to achieve high levels of club growth and retention.Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the wine industry in a management role.Experience with sales force management, point of sale, and Microsoft software products.Bachelor’s degree or higher with a preference for a focus on sales and marketing.Benefits:• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.• Health and wellness benefits.• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.If you are a results-driven, strategic salesperson with a passion for the wine industry, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to be a part of Pedernales Cellars and the fast-growing Texas wine industry.
