Design and implement social media strategyCreate and ensure content on social media platforms is publishedSuggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitionsManage audience engagement on the DU Theatre’s social media platforms including communicating with followers, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitoring commentsMaintain a content calendar for the departmentManage a small team of collaborators to ensure content is collected for social media campaignsPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience with social media platforms and blogging, content marketing and social media strategyExperience with collaboration across all levels including peers, students and senior leadersExperience managing creative projects and production timelinesAbility to generate creative ideas and also lead execution of these ideasMeticulous attention to detail and commitment to seeing projects to successful completionExcellent writing and grammar skillsAbility to vary communication tones and voice as appropriate to best leverage different social media channels/platformsAbility to be flexible with assignments and multiple prioritiesWillingness to learn new skills as the opportunities or the need ariseExcellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as flexibility and the ability to adapt to quickly changing prioritiesExperience in the arts is helpful, but not requiredRequired Qualifications

Current DU undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic yearContent will be collected in classrooms and theatre spaces which can be loud and darkUnexpected interruptions occur often, and stress level is low to moderatePhysical Activities

Ability to move about the campus and capture lively theatre classes and rehearsalsThis position is eligible for a federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid OfficeStudents will be paid $18.29/hr with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performanceIn compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per yearEqual Employment Opportunity Statement & Notice of Background Check
