to join our team.The ideal candidate will possess strong presentation skills with the ability to tell compelling stories for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers.Additional Job Description
Enterprise unique stories for broadcast, digital, streaming, and social platforms which are relevant to the local community.Possess strong live skills with the ability to cover breaking news with little or no preparation.Develop sources and arrange interviews with people who can provide information about stories.Gather information about events through research, interviews, experience, or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social, or other functions.Evaluate leads and tips to develop story ideas.Discuss issues with producers and/or news managers to establish priorities or position in the newscast.Revise work to meet editorial approval or to fit time requirements.Ensure that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.Have strong writing skills for both broadcast and digital.Interact with viewers/users on social media sites.Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.Fluency in English.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Minimum two years’ experience in news reporting (More or less depending on market size).Superior on-air presence.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.Flexibility to work any shift.
