Position Description:Step into an instrumental role within our practice. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced—and friendly—financial planning office. Work as an employee of independent advisor franchisees with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in daily business operations, financial plan preparation, and marketing campaigns and events.

The Paraplanner/Marketing Manager will primarily assist the team in the financial planning workflow and manage marketing activities. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics, legal, and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and performing work activities.

This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering, and analyzing client data, helping prepare preliminary financial plans and other client deliverables, working with the team to create attention-grabbing websites, social media, and client content and communications. Responds to ad hoc requests, coordinates/tracks projects and/or manages business-as-usual projects such as organizing a client seminar.

Responsibilities and Time Allocation – Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.Position Functions:Financial Planning and AdviceClient Meeting SupportPrepare eMeeting materials and agendas for client meetings.

Alongside financial advisor(s), participate in client meetings and assist the associate financial advisor(s) and franchise advisor(s) with meeting prep, client meetings, follow-up, operational duties.

Financial Planning and Advice SupportUtilize financial planning tools - Money Guide and/or NaviPlan.

Document preliminary financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions as directed for use in client meetings.

Prepare charts, graphs, tables, and other visual aids to be used in implementation meetings with clients.

MarketingImplement key marketing activities including:

Seminars and events: Coordinate marketing events – preparation, execution, and follow-up.

Social media - Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter).

Advisor website maintenance and updates.

Online client experience.

Newsletter and marketing campaigns: Ameriprise CRM (Salesforce) and Ameriprise CRM Marketing on Demand.

Client CareAnswer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and based on registered/non-registered staff allowable activities, as it relates to servicing their accounts.

Review and update client information as needed for client review meetings. Attend and participate in client meetings, if necessary.

Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisor(s).

Document client contact/calls/meetings.

Maintain files and records in accordance with the records retention policy.

Education and Other Designations:Bachelor’s degree or higher

Already have or be able to attain federal and state licenses and registrations for securities and insurance, including SIE, Series 7, Series 66, and State of Texas - Life, Accident, and Health Insurance.
