We value work/life balance and offer excellent benefits and flexibility to support our employees and their lives outside of work.Leading a collaborative, supportive, talented team that works closely together and helps one another market top-notch products and services.What You Will DoLead the development and direction of the marketing strategy.Develop, manage, and lead a marketing team of 8 and assure best practices in the marketing function.Identify and implement creative marketing strategies to build awareness, engagement, and sales, contributing to the organization's financial stability.Develop integrated marketing processes across departments to reach targeted audiences and ensure customer satisfaction.Develop metrics to measure ROI and campaign effectiveness, using data to inform decisions and identify trends.Direct the day-to-day flow of projects through the department to ensure timely prioritization and completion within established schedules.Establish and promote aligned positioning, branding, and messaging that will act as the foundation for all promotional activities.Oversee digital marketing strategies, including social media, website, and email campaigns.Leverage SEO, SEM, and other digital tools to increase brand visibility, sales, and member engagement.Develop and manage a strategic plan and budget that supports the goals of the organization.Research industry trends and competitors to stay current with strategies, products, and services on the market and to determine the effectiveness of different approaches.Advise and support the process for new product and service development across the organization.Ensure the websites, in particular Marketplace, serve the needs of members, customers, and the State Bar to include content, design, look and feel, and functionality.Work across departments to oversee and manage the collection and reporting of key performance indicators that will assist in the data-driven decision making.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in marketing or related field and 5 years leading marketing strategy and teams. Prefer non-profit or association marketing experience.5 years management experience. Strong people management skills including the ability to effectively build, lead, and manage a team.Proven track record of increasing sales revenues through strategic marketing initiatives.Ability to quickly adapt to changing markets and the latest social, economic, and political environments.High-level understanding and application of current marketing channels, principles and trends.Understanding of current market trends and how to apply them to the legal community.Skilled in leveraging social media, search engine optimization, SEM, and other digital marketing tactics to promote the State Bar’s value, products, and services.Ability to conceptualize, design, and implement new and effective ways to engage customers through the marketing function.Innovative thought leader and lifelong learner to continually grow and expand marketing efforts.Familiarity with key performance indicator identification and reporting.Familiarity with trademark and copyright rules and regulations.Knowledge of and experience with working with new and emerging marketing technologies.Prior experience with strategic business planning and branding.Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and the importance of integrating these principles into marketing efforts and leadership.Proactive, positive, problem solver, and decision maker.Innovative and flexible with respect to changing and challenging business environments.Collaboration skills with a proven track record of cultivating positive relationships.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
