Summary

An experienced Interior Designer who will collaborate with and contribute to our creative Design team in designing and producing VIP aircraft interiors.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Contributes to the Design Team in building and refining design concepts for future proposals and marketing concepts.Be the design project focal to lead and support client project meetings.Creates and maintains project drawing sets, including floor plans, interior elevations, cross sections, and architectural details using AutoCAD 2D.Builds and maintains project material and fixture specification documents.Support in developing physical and digital material and inspiration boards.Collaborates with cross functional teams, including supply chain management, engineering, and manufacturing, in order to ensure the design intent is met and executed.Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers.Travels to inspect materials that meet quality and design intent, including leather, carpet, metals, veneers, furniture, and others, as required.Adhere to project schedules and budget.Support Design Manager with updates to department process checklists.Maintain regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.Other duties as assigned.Competencies

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with 3+ years' experience and/or training in architecture or interior design; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aviation background and aircraft interior experience is a plus, but not required.Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Thorough knowledge of MS Products, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.Thorough knowledge and methodology of drafting interior elevations, cross sections, and architectural detailing is required.Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.Strong communication and time-management skills.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with team members throughout the design process.Proactively ask questions and expresses curiosity about the world of design, materials, and products as well as the industry at large.Ability to travel, as required.Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.The expected WA salary range for this position is between $67,896.00 - $93,957.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, location, and other factors permitted by law.About Greenpoint Technologies
