Job Title: Social Media and Marketing CoordinatorEssential Duties and Responsibilities

The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote the University Career Center’s brand, services, and programs. This role involves creating engaging social media and marketing content, managing the Center’s website, and ensuring the consistent promotion and representation of our brand. The ideal candidate will be innovative, strategic, and have a deep understanding of the role of career centers in higher education.Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to increase awareness of Career Center services and programs.Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.Create, curate, and manage engaging content across various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).Monitor social media channels for trends and engagement opportunities.Respond to inquiries and engage with the online community.Regularly update the Career Center’s website with relevant content and resources.Ensure the website is user-friendly and aligns with the latest web design and accessibility standards.Design and produce marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, newsletters, and videos.Write compelling and informative descriptions/captions.Ensure all marketing materials and communications are consistent with the Career Center’s brand and messaging.Stay current with marketing and social media trends, tools, and best practices.Work closely with Career Center staff to understand their needs and support their initiatives. Will also collaborate with the Student Affairs marketing team.Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline. Two years of related business experience in social media development, implementation, marketing, and managing the strategy; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Education and Experience

Strong understanding of social media platforms, web content management, and digital marketing tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Experience supervising and mentoring student workers or interns.Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of career services and higher education is a plus.Physical Demands and Working Conditions
