Lead UX Product Designer opportunity!Direct Hire Full TimeOverview:Our client, a prenatal and women’s health diagnostics company, is seeking a Lead UX Designer to join their team on a fulltime basis! This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing start up pre-IPO and be a part of building out a Direct to Consumer product!Ideally, they are seeking candidates located in the Bay Area, CA working in a hybrid model, but are open to candidates nation-wide that would work on a remote basis. This position does not offer sponsorship.Job Summary:Our client is looking for a dynamic and talented Lead UX Product Designer to own and manage all UX Design. UX plays a critical role in the diagnostic testing field. As Lead UX Product Designer, you’ll get to design a world-class, seamless, end-to-end user experience for both physical lab operations (used by internal members of our clinical lab) and digital experiences (used by external healthcare providers and patients) including owning their direct to consumer genetic testing product. As the company’s only designer, you’ll play a critical role collaborating closely with R&D, engineering, our clinical team, marketing and company leadership, to implement various design solutions to significantly improve the user experience across the board. This is a high impact role with tremendous growth potential and your responsibility will expand quickly as the company scales.Key Responsibilities:As a UX Product Design Lead, you will be responsible for creating unique, clean and delightful experiences for all stakeholders.Deeply understand user behaviors (external customers and internal users) every step of the way, and solve pain points for them through better UX design.Drive the design vision of the company, working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing leaders.Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to plan and create a backlog, push features and design updates, and QA and fix bugs.Work on features and products that cross all experiences; both involving lab processes and software (desktop, mobile web, and native mobile).Design and iterate solutions with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.Present your work effectively through prototypes, user journey diagrams, etc., and help guide decision-making in a thoughtful, empathic, and productive way.User quantitative and qualitative data to create designs that serve the user requirements.Requirements:To be successful, you’ll need to be a customer-centric designer that balances business goals with creative execution.4+ years of product design experience, with at least 1+ years independently leading UX projects.Diagnostic testing, genetics, or biotech experience is preferred.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to think and articulate objectively.Extensive experience with Figma, Sketch, Abstract, Overflow, and Zeplin.Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Segment.
