Graphic Designer

in our New Homes Division!The Graphic Designer at Van Metre Homes is responsible for supporting creative processes including: ideation, development, implementation, and optimization of marketing and advertising collateral that support a first-class customer experience, create greater efficiencies within the Marketing team, and position Van Metre as a creative leader in the industry. With a solutions-oriented mindset and a desire to effectively disrupt current processes, challenge existing standards, and use data to drive creative materials, the Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in supporting the evolution of Van Metre’s marketing program, visibility in the marketplace, and the brand’s relationship with its customers.This position is a hybrid position, with a minimum of 1-3 days per week reporting in person to the office in Ashburn, VA.Essential Functions:Assist the Studio Manager in managing incoming design projects including creative analysis, research, design, production, and printing.Develop and design graphics for a wide range of materials including print and digital ads, emails, posters, brochures, sales materials, catalogs, presentations, website layouts, videos, and social media—pushing boundaries while maintaining the required level of brand presence.Design and prepare electronic files for print, using prepress industry standards for file setup, and work with external vendors to ensure high-quality printing and production of materials.Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to ideate, develop, implement, and optimize creative opportunities that drive brand awareness and engagement.Strategize, plan, and support the creative testing roadmap for social media, emails, advertisements, onsite experiences, and other forms of media.Review performance of a breadth of marketing tactics and identify opportunities for improvement.Accept constructive critiques and understand that it is provided to enhance the assets and overall benefit the company.Regularly update website content based on new, approved graphic designs.Manage and maintain brand guidelines, digital assets, including images, logos, and fonts.Continually audit existing processes, tools, and platforms for brand alignment and consistency.Research competitor and market trends, and leverage third-party testing tools, to continually reaffirm the strategic agenda based on real-time market and consumer feedback and trends.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.3+ years of experience in Graphic Design.Experience in visual design and Adobe XD or Figma, preferred.Proven, excellent & complex skills in:Social Media (Reels, Posts, Facebook Experiences).Microsoft Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Word).Demonstrated ability in:Art direction, branding, and layout.Color theory, typography, and composition.Teamwork and time management.Supports projects with an open mind and positive attitude.Understands marketing platforms, channels, and the prospect/customer experience.Adapts to changing circumstances and works within an agile framework.Instills trust among internal and external teams through exceptional communication.Forecasts challenges, pre-determines solutions, and creatively problem solves.Works independently and cross-functionally within internal and external teams.Sees failure as an opportunity to innovate and improve overall performance.Obsessed with growth and learning from best-in-class leaders and brands.Ideates with a data-oriented and customer-centric mindset.Expresses empathy and exercises emotional intelligence.Excels in a deadline-driven and detail-oriented environment.Compensation and Benefits information:
