This role ensures the timely development and execution of content, digital media, news releases, social media, and other products promoting the name and brand recognition and public perception of the School of Nursing and Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing and its education, research, and service mission through strategic marketing channels.What you need to knowSalary:

Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceFour years of communications and/or marketing experienceRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with othersWorking knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)Familiarity with and willingness to stay current with social media applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to present information clearly and conciselyAbility to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlinesAn understanding of branding and working within a brandKnowledge of word-processing and spreadsheet softwarePreferred Qualifications:Two years of communication and or marketing experience, including writing for print and web publications, magazines, newsletters, and experience developing and posting content on web sitesExperience posting social media and digital advertising campaignsExperience using a content management systemExperience working with complex individuals and communitiesKnowledge of university communications protocols, policies, and proceduresExcellent verbal and written communications skills, writing and editing skillsDemonstrated writing abilities to include articles, web content, newsletters, brochures, or marketing piecesConfidence and experience in using social media for academic purposesResponsibilities:Communications and Marketing DutiesWrites content for promotional pieces like brochures, flyers, news releases, newsletters, presentations, email campaigns and web.Assists with the creation of communication materials and messages and other communication collateral.Assists the Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing in the development, creation, and production of recruitment and advertisements to increase enrollment in professional development and continuing education opportunities and promote outreach activities.Monitors and maintains the Center’s social media presence.Assists the school’s Office of Student Affairs in the development, creation, and production of recruitment and advertisements to increase student enrollment in the Master of Science in Nursing-Forensic Nursing and Graduate Certificate in Forensic Health Care programs.Public Relations DutiesAssists with press briefings, media interviews, advertising, promotional activities, special events and community outreach activities.Assists the director to develop media strategies, identify expert sources, develop pitches, facilitate interviews, provide media training and other media relations efforts.Assists faculty and staff with media interviews and media training.Advises Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing leadership on outreach and community relations activities.Multimedia Project ManagementAssists in maintaining a tracking system for project timelines and costs.Arranges capture of multimedia content, including photography and video.Coordinates with web team to maintain Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing website.Manages the Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing’s social media accounts to market its programs, initiatives, events, accomplishments and more.Provides data for grant reporting as required.Manages the Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing’s newsletter and related digital communication vehicles.Develops reports on marketing and communication activities.BrandingAssists with development of publications and graphic displays for events.Supports and encourages the use of the editorial style guide and brand guides established for consistency by Texas A&M University and Texas A&M Health.Collaborates Texas A&M Health and Texas A&M University Marketing and Communications Offices to maximize the use of available internal resources to convey a positive, professional image of the institution.Maintains accuracy of accreditation statements on all materials.Ensures that marketing and communications activities and services comply with University, State, and Federal regulations.Performs other duties as assigned.Instructions to Applicants:
