YOUR ROLE:

Your role as a Senior Print Producer will support production efforts through professional expertise, interpersonal skills, and creative thinking. You will build effective internal and external vendor relationships, implement quality improvements, and ensure delivery of desired results. You will provide direction, support, and feedback for team members and contribute to the achievement of client satisfaction, departmental and strategic business objectives in accordance with values, representing RAPP in the community. You will multitask, working closely with partners in the Agency to meet client goals.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define and implement print production process, working closely with the Studio, Delivery, and Creative Leads

Coordinate production activity between account and creative groups during project development

Supply specifications for vendors’ estimates

Build and maintain a positive working relationship with the creative department

Advise your team on the best formats and efficiencies, providing creative solutions to produce a better product and meet budgetary requirements

Take on projects and work independently; proactively identify and help resolve problems when issues arise

Handle multiple and complex accounts

Adhere to and promote correct departmental procedures to team members

Write detailed DP/lettershop instructions

Issue all paperwork, including estimates/POs, in a timely manner

Support new challenges and quality improvement efforts

Proactively track trends in business and the marketplace relevant to client businesses

REQUIRED SKILLS:

5+ years of print and direct mail production experience

Highly developed interpersonal, team building, and relationship management skills

Ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly and effectively with little supervision

High energy, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Some supervisory/management skills

Strong knowledge of various print processes, lettershop, postal, personalization, and pre-press

Knowledge of electronic and traditional studios

Extensive experience in various printing methods (sheet, digital, Web, form, in-line, promotional material, dimensional)

Extensive knowledge of lettershop function, including sheet versus continuous laser, machinability versus hand insertion

Knowledge of papers, especially with emphasis on laserability

Complete knowledge of all aspects of postal requirements

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

RAPP provides a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits plan. Benefits for this role include health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), stock options, Healthcare & Dependent Flexible Spending Accounts, vacation, sick, and personal days, paid parental leave, and disability benefits. A reasonable estimate of the salary for this role, at the time of posting, is $60,000 - $70,000. This range is specific to Detroit and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications, etc. This is an exempt position.
