RDO Equipment Communications Specialist - Fargo, North Dakota
The Communications Specialist will create engaging, informative, and persuasive content across various channels. Your work will span blog posts, social media copy, intranet articles, internal communications, press releases, backgrounders, video scripts, and more, intended for both internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong foundation of writing and editing skills, able to translate complex or routine information into understandable and engaging content, as well as a highly creative mindset and eagerness to develop and deploy new ideas.Specific Duties Include:Writing clear, concise, and compelling copy that meets audiences where they are, speaks with a unique voice, and appreciates the distinct qualities of different communications platforms.Developing blogs, articles, and informational materials as well as supporting and editing social media content for RDO Equipment Co., R.D. Offutt Farms, and Threemile Canyon Farms.Contributing to the development of creative assets including videos, infographics, and interactive social content.Supporting internal communications initiatives, including creating content for the company intranet, drafting messages on behalf of company executives, and supporting internal communications campaigns.Developing a high-level understanding of relevant key performance indicators and how to use this information to improve future content.Editing and proofreading content authored by you and others to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.Working as part of several teams to support communications and business objectives.Job Requirements:4-year degree in communications, journalism, English, or related field.2-5 years of professional experience in related fields.10%-15% of travel required.Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.Acute attention to detail.Strong organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and stakeholder needs.People skills and the ability to create interpersonal connections to establish trusted professional relationships.A willingness to learn and provide and accept constructive feedback.Experience with Microsoft 365 suite (preferred).Familiarity with AP style writing guidelines (preferred).Experience with generative AI prompt engineering (bonus/nice to have).Experience with short-form video production and/or photography (bonus/nice to have).Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
