Communications Specialist

Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. We are America’s first and only producer of certified organic sugar, grown and harvested in the United States. Our renewable energy facility is the largest of its kind in North America and provides clean energy that powers our sugar operations, which helps us reduce our use of fossil fuels. Our rice mill is the only rice mill in Florida.The Communications Specialist is responsible for producing engaging written, graphic and multimedia content for the global organization as well as managing projects and supporting the communications department through administrative functions such as ordering materials and premiums, creating requisitions, managing shipping or delivery of items to their destination and more. The Communications Specialist will support the global internal and external communications team of Florida Crystals-ASR Group.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESPlan, develop, conduct interviews, write and edit news articles and blog posts about activities within the company to share internally and externallyDevelop compelling graphics and video for digital, print and social mediaSupport all corporate communications, including company intranet, company websites, memoranda, internal email communication, digital signage, social media and other print/digital mediums that may assist in successfully communicating messagesEnsure consistency between all internal and external communicationsCoordinate with various stakeholders to drive messages and promote employee engagementAssist the Communications team, including project management, ordering materials and premiums, creating requisitions, managing shipping and delivery of items to events and meetings, scheduling meetings, attending events and moreSupport the department as a team playerSome nights and weekends requiredWORK EXPERIENCESMust have 2-3 years of relevant experience in corporate communications (internal, external or a combination)Demonstrated capability in writing and producing graphic and video content.Experience writing engaging messages and communication campaignsExperience with company intranet, preferably SharePointDemonstrated ability to be a team playerEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing required.Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programsGraphic design proficiencyPreferred: SharePoint knowledge and experienceLOCATION OF ROLEWest Palm Beach, FL
