Our rice mill is the only rice mill in Florida.OVERVIEWThe Communications Specialist is responsible for producing engaging written, graphic and multimedia content for the global organization as well as managing projects and supporting the communications department through administrative functions such as ordering materials and premiums, creating requisitions, managing shipping or delivery of items to their destination and more. The Communications Specialist will support the global internal and external communications team of Florida Crystals-ASR Group.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESPlan, develop, conduct interviews, write and edit news articles and blog posts about activities within the company to share internally and externallyDevelop compelling graphics and video for digital, print and social mediaSupport all corporate communications, including company intranet, company websites, memoranda, internal email communication, digital signage, social media and other print/digital mediums that may assist in successfully communicating messagesEnsure consistency between all internal and external communicationsCoordinate with various stakeholders to drive messages and promote employee engagementAssist the Communications team, including project management, ordering materials and premiums, creating requisitions, managing shipping and delivery of items to events and meetings, scheduling meetings, attending events and moreSupport the department as a team playerSome nights and weekends requiredWORK EXPERIENCESMust have 2-3 years of relevant experience in corporate communications (internal, external or a combination)Demonstrated capability in writing and producing graphic and video content.Experience writing engaging messages and communication campaignsExperience with company intranet, preferably SharePointDemonstrated ability to be a team playerEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing required.Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programsGraphic design proficiencyPreferred: SharePoint knowledge and experienceAccountability: Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development; openly discusses his/her actions and their consequences both good and bad.Acting with Integrity: Clearly states goals and beliefs; lets people know his/her true intentions; does what he she said they would do; follows through on commitments; understands and follows company policiesStrong attention to detail, accuracy and consistencyCommunication & Interpersonal Skills: Expresses ideas and information in a clear and concise manner; tailors message to fit the interests and needs of the audience; delivers information in a manner that is interesting and compelling to the listener; effectively communicates within and across departments to ensure communications initiatives are carried out accurately and on timeEnergy & Initiative: Takes action on his/her own without being prompted; handles problems independently; able to resolve issues without relying on extensive help from others; does more than is expected or asked; asserts one's influence over events to achieve goalsLOCATION OF ROLEWest Palm Beach, FLWe are an equal opportunity employer.
