Design Manager III

to join our growing buildings team!The Design Manager III establishes and monitors procedures for architectural & engineering review activities to ensure they are done according to best practices and standards identified in the Contract. You will oversee design support management, scope of work management, design review and approval, permitting, agency coordination support, and building information modelling (BIM) coordination. You support the Sr. Project Manager in providing oversight of the architectural, structural, mechanical electrical plumbing (MEP), civil, utilities, and IT disciplines per client standards.This program is airport wide, but mostly concentrated in the Terminal buildings.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design management of complex aviation improvements experience required. Experienced managing a team of design professionals.Manage a team of architects, engineers, and other professionals to guide the design, permitting, and construction procurement of various airport capital improvement projects.Oversee the review and approval of technical documents (DRT process).Lend expertise to manage comment resolution.Facilitate meetings and be the technical liaison between the Developers/Design-Builders and TDIP Subject Matter Expert teams.Provide technical review of changes to scope of work for each project.Establish submittal approval procedures and ensure uniformity of review approach.Audit project team comments and designer responses.Monitor compliance with architectural and engineering guidelines for the T5 Modernization project ensuring consistency and quality in design.Monitor permitting information and the permitting process required by the design team.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, engineering, and/or related field.15 years or more of experience in managing the design of large, complex building projects, utilities, and infrastructure improvements, preferably airport projects.Design management of complex aviation improvements experience.Experience managing a team of design professionals.Experience with projects more than $100 million in value.Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR, and Design/Build.Proven ability to perform in a management capacity.Preferred Qualifications

Professionally Licensed Architect.Professional Engineer.Master’s degree in architecture, engineering, and/or related field.Ability to work in CAD or REVIT a plus.

$155,000 - $165,000 a year
