Must be comfortable and familiar with public address systems and technology for event music, including both scripted and ad-lib announcements, as well as play-by-play for various events. This individual will operate the microphone needs for Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Track & Field, and (CHC vs LC) events hosted at Ben Davis HS and BDHS facilities.During most competitions, the position will be located at a table or press box, providing fan information, music during breaks in the event, and housekeeping information as needed. When play-by-play announcing is not required (after the welcome greeting, National Anthem, and introductions), this position can shift into event assistance duties related to the operation of the event.The PA announcer will also be responsible for the take-down and storage of the necessary equipment related to the position.An additional job duty may include managing the live-stream we provide for as many events as possible. If available, the equipment and technology related to the live-stream will be started, observed, and concluded by the PA position.
