SENIOR DESIGNER - Knitwear

An established womenswear company in seeking a Senior Designer for Knitwear to join their team! Design from concept to pre-production. Experience in cut sew knits, fast fashion and private label is a plus.In this position, you will utilize your design knowledge and creative inspiration.Responsibilities include:Develop and identify trend directions for knits including color direction, trend direction, print/pattern, and silhouette.Responsible for product design and development from concept to pre-production.Source fabric and trims, communicate with overseas factories.Create detailed flat sketches for presentations to product development team and Buyers.Shop the marketplace for inspiration and product opportunities.Communicate seasonal trend direction to upper management.Partner with the technical design team and production ensuring quality standards.Create initial tech packs to be sent to factories for sample development.Effectively comment on proto samples.Work closely with sales, merchandising, and production teams.Ensure products are aligned with an overall business strategy including merchandising key product assortments.SkillsMinimum 5 years designing knitwear for missy and juniors.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Microsoft Office
