Job Summary:Reporting to the Executive Associate Dean, the Assistant Dean for Graduate Admissions, Strategic Marketing and Communications performs significant administrative functions to accomplish recruiting and admissions objectives. The incumbent coordinates efforts with the executive team to meet the academic and organizational needs of students pre-matriculated until graduation of programs within FDU Health. The incumbent participates in aspects of admissions work including, but not limited to, conducting needs analysis; interviewing and counseling students and families concerning the admissions process and available options; recruitment, marketing, and evaluating candidates, as well as providing support for various student activities and internal and external community outreach. The Assistant Dean for Graduate Admissions, Strategic Marketing and Communications participates in evaluation of the credentials and learning potential of applicants seeking admission into the University, program and event planning and implementation; assessing, researching and benchmarking trends and oversees financial aid; and computerized data management, supervision of admissions staff and general central office administrative duties.Additionally, the position will be responsible for the overall institutional assessment efforts for FDU Health in agreement and compliance with appropriate regional and professional accreditation standards. The responsibilities of this position will include assisting in the accreditation efforts for the programs with faculty to enhance the collection, analysis and processing of data relevant to evaluating programmatic successes and challenges within the areas of admissions and marketing. This position is a member of the Executive Leadership team for the School.Required Qualifications:Master's degree required in a related field of study, with an advanced degree preferred.Prior experience in an academic environment working directly with students, faculty and administration including counseling, recruitment and admissions activities, and/or programming preferred.Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with basic computer applications for both PC and MAC and database management.Ability to handle multiple priorities, excellent organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.Familiarity with social media platforms.Evening and weekend hours are required to accommodate the needs of students and provide services during peak periods.Valid driver's license, accessibility to transportation, and ability to travel locally. Must have an acceptable driving record in accordance with the university's Motor Vehicle policy. A MVC check will be required at the time of hire and thereafter as deemed appropriate by the university. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the MVC check.Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
