Job Summary

This position supports the Lighting Service Department at Mississippi Power. Lighting Services sells, installs and maintains lighting systems for all customer classes. This job will provide analytical support to the manager, leadership, and employees across the organization. This role will work primarily in the office and be integral to helping operations run smoothly.

This position is responsible for providing analytical support to the Lighting team; including, but not limited to:

Prepare, analyze, and present financial/sales/operations information to MPC’s management and other groups within the Company

Manage customer/contractor contracts working with both Accounting and Supply Chain

Track and report the profitability of individual projects as well as the department as a whole

Represent Lighting at MPC and across the system on financial requirements and system teams

Ensure guidelines are up to date and followed as required by Compliance

Ensure proper documentation is stored in a way that meets all requirements

Support advertising efforts

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, accounting, or finance preferred

3+ years of analytical/financial experience preferred

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with changing priorities and produce timely results

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to interpret large amounts of data

Excellent interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - particularly utilizing Excel spreadsheets and models, knowledge of Power BI a plus

Basic project management skills
