Our German-language shows include Kurt Krömer - Feelings, Free Hugs, Was bisher geschah and Kampf der Unternehmen.We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Content Acquisition Manager with experience in podcast and/or entertainment to join our team in Germany. In this position, you will develop Wondery’s relationship with publishers and content producers in the country, including managing sustained contact with local actors. As such, you will help identify and initiate relationships with 3P content providers and support negotiations for Wondery content deals led from the US. You will also be responsible for partner management, acting as the connective tissue between Wondery and the shows joining the network.Key job responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience in a content acquisition, licensing, and/or business development role with the ability to initiate and manage relationships with top creators, representation agencies, and media executives from key local content providers.As a Sr Content Acquisition manager, you will:Identify, prioritize and provide recommendations to on-board 3P content providers (podcast producers, networks, media, talent agencies) to position Wondery to be the best ad sales and content partner in Germany in line with the strategy developed by Wondery leadership in the U.S.Support negotiations for the production of Wondery Original shows, working closely with internal teams including Content, Product, Legal, Finance and Marketing.Act as point of contact with 3P content provider shows and ensure internal coordination with cross-functional Wondery teams (Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Sales, Finance and Digital Operations) by building strong relationships that help both Wondery and our partners achieve their goals.Onboard new 3P content providers, manage in-bound questions, schedule, maintain, and program recurring check-ins, delivering updates on key metrics and performance.Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet financial and technical goals defined by Wondery leadership in the U.S.Monitor the competitive landscape to help inform Wondery's strategic priorities and expansion opportunities.Work with global stakeholders to draft greenlight documents and financial models.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in a content acquisition, business affairs, licensing or business development role.Ability to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.A proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals.Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.Strong business judgment and demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.English (C1) and German (C2) speaking and writing or equivalent.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or Masters/equivalent.Deep understanding of the DACH podcast or audio entertainment landscape and associated business models.Experience in content acquisition within podcasts or similar entertainment media (TV, Film, OTT, audio, etc.).Self-starter who is customer obsessed, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player.Ability to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.A natural taste for networking and public speaking.Proven bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
