Microsoft Advertising is seeking a world-class Content Marketing Manager to develop the stories and narratives required to establish, maintain, and lead on a global stage. This Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for vertically focused strategic content development, storytelling and copywriting developed to enrich and inspire our target audiences and the advertising industry at large. The Content Marketing Manager uses insights to tell compelling stories and is well-versed in various advertising industry verticals, from retail to financial services, to create customer-centric content. The successful candidate will be experienced in content marketing, leveraging all available channels to meet the desired objectives and will be a collaborator and cross-functional partner.

ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy and Creation:

Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our editorial vision, considering diverse channel selection, editorial governance, and metrics that support overall business objectives.Collaborate with our Experiential, North America, Small, Medium Business (SMB), and Partner teams to enhance our content capabilities, crafting compelling, high-quality content for our key moments that reflect the brand’s voice and engage our diverse audience.Create a variety of content to communicate different messages and achieve various business goals, including long-form articles, short-form posts, infographics, and videos.Establish models and processes for gathering insights (internally and externally) and analyzing data to inform content topics and themes.Formulate content plans based on market trends, audience insights, and competitive analysis, ensuring a broad and inclusive perspective.Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and content marketing innovations. Experiment with new formats, storytelling techniques, and distribution channels to reach a wide audience.Guarantee that all content is consistent with brand guidelines, SEO best practices, legal and industry standards, and is accessible to all.Engage in research efforts, including contributing to questionnaires and surveys, to understand the diverse needs and preferences of our audience.Design measurement systems to evaluate content performance against operational goals; modify strategies accordingly to be more inclusive and effective.Work in close partnership with the Creative Director to brainstorm and develop visually compelling experiences that resonate with a broad target audience.

Content Marketing

Collaborate with the marketing organization to develop and execute an integrated content marketing strategy that supports the company's business goals and reflects our commitment to diversity and inclusion.Work with cross-functional teams, including product and sales, to orchestrate cohesive content marketing efforts across various channels, ensuring representation and accessibility.Manage the planning, execution, and measurement of content marketing campaigns, with a focus on inclusive messaging and diverse audience engagement.Enhance campaign performance by analyzing data and adjusting better connect with all segments of our audience.

Overall Program Management And Execution Skills

Proven experience in managing the daily publication of multiple streams of content across diverse distribution channels.Experience in setting up and maintaining a multichannel editorial calendar that represents a wide range of voices and perspectives.Experience with running and adapting content creation and measurement processes, responsive to the evolving needs of a diverse business environment.Understanding how AI is affecting content creation and consumption trends to deliver customer-obsessed content that is personalized and relevant to our customers and prospects.Embody our Culture and Values

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experienceOR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience5+ years of relevant experience as a content marketer, writer, editor in chief, or content strategy developmentExperience with advertising technology and/or marketing technologyAbility to translate complex concepts into simple and compelling communications.Experience in content operations, publishing, and measurement tools, plus a point of view on must-have technology for an efficient content engine

Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
