Design Manager

The Position:

The successful candidate will lead and manage a design and development team for the Industrial Power Systems group. The charter of the group is to grow our business by developing cutting edge power management, protection, and digitally enabled power products. All aspects of development will be handled by the team, including design, verification, and validation.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Working with other groups to define new products and performance specificationsDesigning and simulating integrated circuitsDriving thorough design reviewsLeading and developing a team of engineersGuiding the circuit layout and test plan development for productionWorking with other groups to review silicon performance from the lab and analysing pre-production test dataWork with cross functional team: design, IC layout, test, marketing, packaging, QA, applicationsReviewing device datasheets and presenting new products to customersSupport release to production (characterization, statistical analysis, setting test limits)Assisting in the support of customer applications and any product issues

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, dynamic, an excellent communicator, meticulous, prepared to take the initiative and exhibit the following skills:

Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years semiconductor product experienceStrong analog design skillsDigital design knowledgeStrong leadership and management experienceStrong planning skills are essentialAbility to drive tasks to completion through close coordination across multiple groupsKnowledge of complete product development lifecycle (Definition, Design, testing, qualification, production, support, etc.)Strong verbal and written communication skills
