Job Title: Product Researcher and Designer

Introduction to role:

Join our R&D IT team as a Product Researcher and User Experience Designer, where you will lead the user experience design and user research efforts. Our mission is to build intuitive, user-friendly products that meet the needs of our end users. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, partners, to drive user-centered design and research practices throughout the organization.Accountabilities:As a Product Researcher and Designer, you will identify potential central initiatives and business transformation opportunities that drive optimization or unlock new sources of value creation. Your work will include crafting prototypes, hypothesis testing, vendor analysis, running ideation workshops, developing outcome-based roadmaps, crafting prioritization frameworks, writing cases, defining success metrics, and developing detailed implementation plans. You will also contribute to the development and execution of a comprehensive user research framework aligned with product and business goals.Essential Skills/Experience:– Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Psychology, or a related field.- Proven experience (10+ years) in user experience design and research, preferably in an R&D and/or Pharma setting.– Expertise in two or more of the following: business process reengineering, business transformation, process optimization, product management, engineering, design, or related field.– Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and standard processes.– Proficiency in conducting user research studies, such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests.– Experience of UX tools and methods across the full user-centered design process.– Specialist technical skills in at least 1-2 of the following areas: creating information architectures, flows and wireframes, interactive prototypes, moderating Usability lab testing and other research methodologies.– Finely honed visual/ graphic design skills (color, typography, layout, illustration).– An excellent listener and presenter.Desirable Skills/Experience:– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret research findings and drive data-informed design decisions.- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.– Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.– Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate research findings and design recommendations to partners.– Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and partners.– While this person won’t be required to write code, engineering experience is a huge plus and having a deep technology background is the minimum requirement.When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
