Primary PurposeReporting to the Director of Content Strategy, the Multimedia Content Specialist is an integral member of the Enrollment Marketing team that will develop recruitment content pieces to attract future University of the Pacific undergraduate and graduate students. The individual will produce videos and other multimedia content, write articles, emails, newsletters, and other website, social media, marketing, and promotional material designed to recruit new students. The individual is someone who can translate Pacific’s personality and student experiences through their words to have genuine conversations with prospective students.Essential Functions

Serve as a lead storyteller and idea generator for branded enrollment marketing and recruitment materials, email communications, advertising campaigns, videos, video scripts, and media sources.Balance the craft of writing for higher education with the intersection of strategy and creativity.Create copy, visual images, video, and interactive content that evoke emotion and motivate prospective undergraduate and graduate students to want to learn more about the university.Develop storyboards to clearly articulate the vision of recruitment materials in multiple formats (digital, video, print).Shoot and edit videos for YouTube, website, blog, and social media channels to support recruitment and retention efforts.Key component of University of the Pacific’s ability to connect with audiences, elevate the department’s work product, and bring Pacific’s story to life.Brainstorm multimedia concepts, write/edit copy, and develop content that lives across both digital (including video) and traditional channels.Engage audiences through compelling and inclusive copy, video, and other multimedia content that moves readers to consider University of the Pacific and take action.Contributes to the overall success of the Division of Enrollment Strategy and the university by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.University of the Pacific recognizes that diversity, equity, and inclusion is foundational to the success of our valued students and employees. Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communication, or related field.One (1) year of experience in content production, with a focus on email and other marketing-related copywriting.One (1) year of experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop).Preferred Qualifications

Ability to write in an illustrative way that treats people as people; someone who can help readers imagine the experience themselves.Expert knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.Knowledge of principles and methods for showing and promoting academic programs to diverse audiences.Ability to listen, visualize, and apply ideas and trends into creative solutions.Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.Ability to understand and follow instructions.Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.Physical Requirements

Hiring Range: $22.03 - $29.15 per hour.
