At Magnolia, the SEO Specialist is responsible for optimizing our online presence to drive organic traffic and enhance the visibility of our retail offerings. With a focus on search engine optimization strategies, the SEO Specialist will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our products are easily discoverable and positioned prominently in search engine results. This position reports to the Ecommerce Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values.Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high impact terms relevant to our products and content.Analyze keyword trends and competitors to develop and refine SEO strategies.Optimize product pages and content for search engines, including meta tags, headers, and URL structure.Collaborate with content creators to ensure product descriptions and imagery align with search engine best practices.Conduct technical SEO audits to identify and address website issues affecting search engine performance.Work closely with IT and development teams to implement technical SEO recommendations.Develop and execute effective link building strategies to enhance the authority and credibility of the website.Establish partnerships and collaboration to build high-quality backlinks.Partner on content strategy aligned with SEO goals, including blog posts, articles, and multimedia content.Ensure content is optimized for search engines and engages our target audience.Utilize SEO tools and analytics platforms to monitor and report on key performance indicators.Provide regular insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve SEO performance.Keep up to date with industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging SEO techniques.Implement best practices and innovative strategies to stay ahead of the competition.Partner with marketing, content, and merchandising teams to ensure SEO strategies align with broader business goals.Communicate SEO insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical partners.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSHard skills:

Proficiency in SEO tools such as GA and BrightEdge; strong understanding of SEO algorithms and ranking factors.Soft skills:

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; creative problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy; strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to efficiently meet deadlines; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on a high level; ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field from a 4-year college or university preferred.Experience:

1-3+ years as an SEO specialist with a focus on retail or ecommerce preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle, feel, and utilize fine finger dexterity; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.
