We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Jr. Designer to join our team. This role will be responsible for the creation of detailed engineering design drawings using CAD software and other proprietary tools. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with a proven track record of delivering results within the timeframes set. This position offers an exciting opportunity to further develop your design and engineering skills within the utilities sector, complemented by the flexibility of some remote work. To ensure the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency, regular in-office collaboration and site visits are integral to the role’s successful execution.Key Responsibilities
Actively engage with project teams to understand design requirements and ensure accurate document preparation.Assist in the creation of engineering designs using MicroStation CAD software that comply with technical specifications and regulatory standards.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance technical skills and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.Contribute to internal team collaboration, providing input and support during the design process.Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards throughout the design phase.Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the design processes and outcomes.Conduct on-site surveys at various locations as needed to gather essential data..Other Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to adapt to both remote and in-office work environments, with a readiness to attend the office as required.Experience with MicroStation or similar CAD software.Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Company driving standards.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
