Are you a self-starter who loves to be on camera and possesses a strong understanding of the social media space?Position Summary:The Admissions team is looking for an energetic and outgoing student with a passion for promoting the University on social media to a prospective student target audience. As the Admissions Social Media Ambassador, you should exhibit unwavering authenticity as the face and voice of the Newman University Admissions Department’s online persona.Work Performed:Develop, perform, and produce social media content at the direction of the Admissions Digital Marketing Manager.Promote the Newman Brand.Create a social strategy to meet Admissions objectives.Convey authentic enthusiasm.Cover stipulated talking points.Schedule and interview current students, faculty, and staff.Produce classroom takeovers for various majors and programs.Produce Newman University and college-related “How-To” videos.Take photos and videos both on and off campus.Create creative text content to enhance photo and video content.Promote Admissions events, announcements, deadlines, holidays, and scholarships.Adhere to Newman University’s social media guidelines .Complete University-required trainings, including FERPA and Title IX.Contribute to the overall success of the Admissions Office by performing all other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:Be a full-time Newman University student, enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semesterHigh degree of commitment and reliabilityFlexibility and adaptability for various projectsPassionate about Newman UniversityRespect for confidentiality and professionalismMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesA weekly work schedule will be crafted with the Admissions Digital Marketing Manager consisting of 10-15 hours per week.Additional hours may become available throughout the year for on-campus and off-campus events and promotions.There may be potential for weekend and evening shifts as recruitment events are scheduled.Founded in 1933, Newman University is a liberal arts institution grounded in Catholic values and traditions, yet is respectful of all faiths.
