About the Role:

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating, guiding, developing, and executing on the company’s vision for visual marketing content and assets. You will collaborate with Marketing team members to translate marketing and content strategies into compelling design outputs. This role reports directly to the Creative Director.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage and execute the marketing strategy to build awareness, generate leads, and grow professional customer accounts.

Develop creative concepts and innovative design solutions from conception to customer delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Create and maintain a high level of consistency across all branding efforts, adhering to brand guidelines.

Provide guidance and support to other designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.

Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging design techniques to keep our creative assets fresh and cutting-edge.

Project manage creative design projects.

Other special duties and projects as assigned.

Act as subject matter expert on graphic design in support of other teams and business functions.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree: B.F.A. in graphic design or visual communications. This is a high-level position and requires complete education in the field of graphic design.

Work Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in a creative role, such as graphic designer or junior art director, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.

Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing a range of projects, including digital, print, and multimedia work.

Creative and Artistic Skills: Exceptional visual design skills and a strong sense of aesthetics. Strong ability to match design with the content/narrative and its intended audience, providing assets that communicate, educate, and/or engage effectively.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present ideas and work with various stakeholders.

Technical Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), as well as knowledge of web design tools and video editing software.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to align design work with the overall brand strategy and business objectives.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to overcome creative challenges and meet project goals.

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure all work is of the highest quality, is accurate, and meets project objectives.

Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Experience with agile workflow processes (i.e., Jira, Monday.com, Trello, etc.).

Located within - or willing to relocate to – Durham, NC.
