Job Description Vornado is looking for an experienced web designer to create designs and layouts for our family of websites that build user experiences in a way that helps our consumers love our products as much as we do. As a member of our Marketing & Brand team you will work on a range of Vornado-owned websites and app experiences, leading the way in our user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) efforts to fit within the structures and experiences that our Web Developer and E-commerce Web Manager can create. The look and feel of your designs will provide every Vornado consumer easier, more delightful, and rich experiences across multiple global consumer product brands. You’ll use your full range of skills from page layout and design, interaction design, and visual design to enhance usability not only on web but also our app with a growing team of creatives and assets — giving you the latitude to do what you do best. You will report to the Director of Marketing & Brand.You Will:Develop new interfaces for users on our family of websites and apps, including page layouts, graphics, banners, and promotions with a focus on user experience (UX).Develop website design strategies for all owned websites that showcase immersive stories and interactive experiences within a user-friendly interface.Collaborate with our Web Developer / E-commerce Web Manager to ensure designs are responsive and optimized for all devices.Ensure designs align with brand guidelines and reflect the brand's tone and messaging.Work with SEO specialists to ensure all visual content is optimized for search engine optimization (SEO) and adheres to relevant copyright and licensing regulations.Be involved in UI / UX meetings and provide your expertise and initial designs.Improve designs for different digital platforms and devices to ensure a seamless user experience.Design with the intent that your layouts and designs can be adapted to third-party commerce venues (Amazon A+) and support the Digital Graphic Designer when they implement them.Design website elements, including logos, icons, and visual guidelines, to maintain a brand image across all platforms.Oversee the web style guide that dictates the colors, fonts, and design patterns that are used in our websites and our app.Work in a team environment with web developers, copywriters, social media strategists, e-commerce management, other designers, account executives and marketing specialists.Support consumer-focused motion design projects such as video and animation.Collaborate with other designers on collateral when needed to create Brand-cohesive graphics.Help create and edit multimedia content, such as videos, GIFs, and animations, to support digital marketing initiatives.Maintain awareness of industry/design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.Contribute to larger-scale projects with creative design input.Contribute to the design and implementation of training, promotion, and advertising programs.Ensure all graphics are integrated into media in a manner aligned with our brand standard.
