Position Overview, a center in , helps public agencies develop high-volume, highly scalable, and multi-device-compatible Software as a Service (SaaS) web applications to meet public needs. Our flagship program is the Kite Suite, a SaaS-based testing platform used by multiple state departments of education. Incorporating the latest innovative software technology solutions, the Kite Suite can deliver a variety of test items, including custom simulation and technology-enhanced item types, in a variety of ways so that students with a wide range of skills and abilities can access the assessments and their related content.ATS is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to turn our software into easy-to-use products for the students and educators that use the Kite Suite and associated websites. Using established design standards, the UI/UX Designer will work with ATS developers to coordinate development and delivery of new and existing features. This includes gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements, and building navigation components. We want to create both functional and appealing features that address our clients' needs and help us grow our customer base. You will ensure that all elements of the user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design. The successful candidate will evidence a passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to UI/UX design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.May supervise or provide leadership to staff.Job DescriptionUI/UX Design (90%)Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and developersWorks directly with developers to coordinate development and delivery of new or existing application featuresIllustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemapsDesign graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgetsBuild page navigation buttons and search fieldsDevelop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look likeCreate original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables)Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholdersIdentify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)Ensure consistent layout and theme across suite of applicationsConduct layout adjustments based on user feedbackAdhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and imagesOther Duties (10%)Provide leadership on projectsAttend meetingsPosition RequirementsThis position allows for a hybrid work location for well-qualified candidates.
