Seeking a Film Editor for an independent feature film project located in Burbank, California. This is a
unpaid position
that requires a commitment to the belief that there is still hope in times of despair and offers valuable experience as an Editor on the ground floor of this startup project.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the director and producers to understand the vision of the filmCut, splice, and rearrange raw footage to create scenes and sequencesMake choices that affect the film’s pace, atmosphere, and narrativeCollaborate with sound designers, colorists, and VFX supervisors in post-productionCoordinate online or print publishing cycle and manage content areaSet publication standards and establish goals and expectationsSuggest stories and generate headline ideas in alignment with the targeted audience’s preferencesRequirements:Must have 2+ years of experienceMust have a flexible scheduleMust be reliableMust know how to operate several types of camerasMust have effective communication skillsMust have reliable transportationTime Commitment:The successful candidate will dedicate 3 to 4 hours per week supporting pre and post-production responsibilities related to this project.Please submit a resume and cover letter to
