JOB SUMMARY

The LPGA seeks a Graphic Designer with a strong eye for design. This person should have a passion for creativity, storytelling, engaging fans on digital platforms, technology, and innovation. He/she should have a strong understanding of how our audience consumes and engages with our creative. This role requires a positive team player who has a passion to create innovative, engaging creative assets. This person should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will have a strong interpersonal, collaborative skillset and be very comfortable working under deadlines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the Creative Director, and other designers to create design projects as assigned, applying imagination, creativity, and originality from brainstorming phase through to print and digital production.Complete graphic design projects as assigned including original creation or edits of campaigns, signage, event collateral social media and web graphics within brand guidelines.Collaborate with printers to develop new creative and cost-effective looks and ways to create design products, including identifying higher quality, more cost-effective printing resources and products.Complete projects within designated timelines.Assist with copywriting, copyediting, and proofreading as assigned.Work efficiently with internal departments and external clients to meet design needs and goals and ensure a high level of satisfaction of graphic design projects.Help maintain brand consistency across all league assets including internal departments (video, website, social media, etc.), advertising, partner activations, etc.Creatively push the designs, static and animated, to be distinct while staying within the brand and messaging guidelines. Design social graphics and social-first multi-media assets that tell the story of the LPGA championships, news, and key brand initiatives.Travel or on-call, remote coverage to select LPGA events to create timely graphics for social media creative and paid promotions, including collaborating with the LPGA’s social and marketing teams with planning of daily/weekly social content plans and execution of said plans.Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to create social and other digital assets that fulfill corporate partner obligations and goals, delivering the desired reach and engagement. Work with and assist our video team on shoots and deliverables.Work well in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyWork independently as well as prioritize under narrow time limitations or interruptions, producing accurate results within quick turnaround times.Demonstrate excellent collaboration skills, a solution-based attitude, and the ability to work with people with diverse skills and backgrounds.Provide direction and mentorship to junior members of the team.Maintains technical knowledge by staying updated on design trends, reviewing professional publications, and collaborating with senior leadership.QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field is preferredExperienced as graphic designer at professional or college sports organization is preferred, but not required.Demonstrate a strong portfolio with a focus on capturing the attention of content consumers and leveraging the most recent trends on social media platforms.Proficient with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and knowledge of Premiere and AfterEffects.Strong understanding of and passion for visual storytelling.Self-starter with high standards and accountability.Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure deadline environment.Must be detail-oriented and maintain high levels of quality control of work.Demonstrates creative judgment based on current trends, events, and platform style.Ability to work with a team and take direction and be just as comfortable working independently.Must be willing travel, work onsite or remote, and after hours, weekends and holidays in support of championships, initiatives, and breaking news.The LPGA offers a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in office each week, competitive salary and benefits package that includes, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, golf and fitness center privileges, access to all of our events, and many other great benefits to all full-time employees.
