This position is responsible for the creation and execution of marketing and advertising creative (print and digital) for Troon and Troon golf clubs around the world. These creative projects include but are not limited to flyers, posters, email blasts, menus, brochures, social media content, and more. A successful candidate will provide great customer service, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be detail-oriented. The ability to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts and other designs is paramount for this role.
Essential Duties:Lead distribution of centralized content templates through maintenance of company platform (Design on Demand) in conjunction with Troon’s digital team and technology vendorPlan, design and execute a wide array of graphic concepts and projectsCreate in-house promotional materials including flyers, posters, menus, brochures, social content, etc.Lead creation of centralized content serving multiple client coursesLead and improve creative workflow from clients and internally using internal tools (ex: Wrike)Work collaboratively with other creatives in the company (video editor, graphic designers)Effectively communicate with corporate team and club contacts through design creation and editing processConsult with clients’ marketing and sales teams to create cohesive designs that are in brand and goal alignmentManage budget, including invoicing, project expenditure tracking, and project budget developmentAbsorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clientsQuickly adapt to new technologiesEstimate time required for job completion and provide updates throughout the design processMeet tight deadlines and multi-task between numerous projects at a given timeRegular and reliable attendancePerform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree (BA) and minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:Frequently sits, talks, hears, uses hands. Regularly walks and stands. Occasionally reaches with hands and arms, stoops, kneels, crawls and crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.Environment/Noise:Noise level is moderate and occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability Preferences:Ability to read and speak English (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skillsAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionExcellent interpersonal and sales-related skillsAbility to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a timeExpert in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and CanvaProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
