We're looking for a Graphic Designer to bring our Pop Culture designs to life through our product. This role will design original graphics and artwork for both licensed and non-licensed apparel. You'll work with our POD & DTR design team to conceptualize and create the coolest designs for our customers at lightning speed.This role operates on a hybrid schedule from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA 3 days a week.

What You'll Do:

Work under the direction of the design manager and design team to create original apparel graphicsDesign original graphics and artwork, as well as contribute ideas to the design process regarding color and placementWork under the direction of the design manager to create artwork call outs and deliver to the vendorMake recommendations and changes on re-coloring existing artworkStay current with markets and up on current trendsCreate graphics for both licensed and non-licensed apparelUnderstand and oversee the artwork process from design creation to print-ready productionWhat You'll Need:

Geek-level knowledge of Hot Topic licensed partners (Disney, Marvel, Warner Brothers, Cartoon Network, Lucasfilm, Studio Ghibli, and more)Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in graphic arts and apparel designAdvanced knowledge of Adobe CS6 Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator) is requiredFormal Training (certified) and/or education in graphic arts required. Bachelor’s degree in Design or Graphic Design preferredAbility to effectively use computer design applications and hand-drawn illustrations for mixed media artworkYou're a team player but also can thrive working independently on projects in a fast-paced environmentIllustrates a dedication to meeting the requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughlyStrong communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicatorInquisitiveness and an open mind regarding teen music and fashion trendsMeets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressureIs accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issuesKnowledge with DTG process and experience is a plusExperience designing for licensed apparelExperience in the Streetwear industry a plusAbility to quickly design strong trend-based graphics
