Hybrid schedule - 3 days in-office / 2 days remote. Must be local or willing to relocate.

This role manages graphic team in creation of original placed graphic designs for all apparel product categories that are relevant to customer, on trend, innovative and brand appropriate. Manages, directs and coordinates all development for the Graphic Art Team. This position reports to the Sr. Art Director.

What You’ll Do:

Manages graphic artists in their day-to-day tasks, including creating original graphic designs, embroideries, capsule assortments, and art concepts for all product categories and brands.Works independently to interpret trend briefs from the Senior Art Director, guiding the graphic team to develop conceptually and color-cohesive collections as market trends and brand identities evolve.Demonstrates a strong understanding of leadership expectations, proactively delivering chase and test concepts to merchants and leadership based on market trends and available SKUs.Partners with the textile manager to ensure cohesive storytelling across graphic assortments and artwork collections.Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performance team by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure individual and collective success.Ensures that projects, department milestones, and goals are met, adhering to production calendar deadlines.Keeps up-to-date with current trends, presenting new graphic concepts and ideas, and understanding and communicating business performance reports. Frequently presents trend and market analysis reports to leadership and cross-functional partners.Applies extensive knowledge of department processes in managing cross-departmental relationships and calendar milestones.Manages multiple brand umbrellas within Torrid, ensuring each brand adheres to its own styling and does not conflict with other brands/categories.Self-manages workload for the entire graphic team, meets all deadlines, and maintains open communication with the leadership team for approvals and the design process.Manages the preparation of art files, print presentation files, and graphic assortments for production and design teams. Stays involved through all pre-production stages to ensure the final production meets brand quality standards.Has a comprehensive understanding of knit fabrications, washes, print techniques, and execution capabilities. Works closely with production partners to develop washes and techniques, ensuring the best scale and placement for individual garments.Shares the workload evenly with reporting team members, maintaining accountability.Stays informed about graphic business performance and effectively communicates this during presentations to leadership.Performs other job duties as needed.What You’ll Need:

AA in Graphic Arts or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design preferred.Formal Training (certified) and/or education in graphic arts required.5 years’ work experience managing a graphic design team, in apparel design industry. Preferably in the junior/contemporary market.Experience working on multiple categories and managing multiple collections simultaneously.Experience in researching and presenting artwork development based on global and company trend reports.Experience in a MAC based environment. Advanced knowledge in color separation, print execution and strike-off comments and approvals.Advanced Adobe Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) skills required.Excellent conceptual skills, effective written and verbal communication skillsPossesses strong leadership skills and experience managing graphic artists in the fast fashion apparel industry. Flexible and agile when managing workload, meeting deadlines, and adjusting priorities in an ever-changing design environment.Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.Multi-tasking and organizational skills are a must and flexibility to be agile in a fast-paced, team environment.What You'll Get:
